Osimehn, Chukwueze in as Super Eagles Announce 24-Man Squad for 2026 FIFA World Cup African Play-offs

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has released a 24-man list of players invited to represent the Super Eagles in the 2026 FIFA World Cup African play-off tournament.
Head coach Finidi George has assembled a mix of experienced internationals and emerging talents as Nigeria looks to secure qualification for the global showpiece set to hold in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Among the goalkeepers named are Stanley Nwabali of Chippa United (South Africa), Amas Obasogie of Singida Black Stars (Tanzania), and Maduka Okoye who plies his trade with Udinese in Italy.
The defensive lineup features captain William Troost-Ekong (Al-Kholood, Saudi Arabia), Calvin Bassey (Fulham, England), Oluwasemilogo Ajayi (Hull City, England), Bright Osayi-Samuel (Birmingham City, England), and Bruno Onyemaechi (Olympiakos, Greece). Also included are Chidozie Awaziem (Nantes, France), Zaidu Sanusi (FC Porto, Portugal), and Benjamin Fredericks (Dender FC, Belgium).
