2nd Africa for Peace Sports Festival to Be Fun-Packed — Mulade

The Chairman of the Delta State Mini Football Association, Comrade (Chief) Sheriff Mulade, has assured that the second edition of the Africa for Peace Games Village Sports Festival will be fun-packed, exciting, and unifying for all participants and spectators.

Mulade, who disclosed this while speaking with newsmen in Warri, said this year’s edition of the festival is designed not only to promote fitness and sportsmanship but also to strengthen peace, unity, and youth development across Africa.

According to him, the Africa for Peace Sports Festival will feature a variety of events including five-aside football, snooker, table tennis, gym contests, as well as trial sports such as scrabble, chess, and foosball, among others.



He explained that the initiative aligns with the broader goal of using sports as a tool for peacebuilding and community development, especially in the Niger Delta region and beyond.

Mulade emphasized that the upcoming festival which will kick off on the 15th of November and end on the 7th of December 2025,will offer athletes and sports lovers an opportunity to connect, compete, and celebrate Africa’s diversity through sports. He also disclosed that registration for the festival is ongoing and will close soon.



The second edition of the Africa for Peace Games Village Sports Festival will also feature entertainment segments, talent showcases, and cash prizes worth millions of naira, aimed at encouraging participation and rewarding excellence.



While calling on corporate bodies, government agencies, and individuals to support the event, Mulade urged youths to embrace peace and unity, stressing that sports remain a powerful platform to foster brotherhood and social cohesion.
