Ashley Cole has emerged as a target for Aston Villa as Remi Garde targets Premier League survival

Remi Garde has confirmed an interest in signing Ashley Cole as Aston Villa prepare to enter the January market in a bid to ‘improve the chances’ of the club staying up.

Owner Randy Lerner is expected to provide Garde with funds in next month’s transfer window as the Frenchman searches for ways to spark an implausible climb to safety.
Villa are bottom of the table with six points from 15 games – a position no Premier League side has ever survived from – and Garde would like to strengthen his squad, beginning with an ambitious move for Cole.

In a video currently trending on social media, Chief Emami said his advice was based purely on practical and economic reasons that could have affected the timely and cost-effective completion of the project. He noted that the logistical challenges and high cost of transporting construction materials and equipment to Ugborodo made it less suitable for such project given the amount available.
