Jose Mourinho given vote of confidence by Chelsea but is told he must salvage season


Chelsea have offered manager Jose Mourinho their 'full support' after he survived a meeting of the club's board, but say he will have to turn their season around without splashing the cash in January.

Mourinho's side were beaten 3-1 by Southampton at the weekend, leaving them lagging in 16th place after the opening eight games of the season, and Mourinho's job has since been called into question.
Despite a board meeting in which Mourinho's position was scrutinised, the club have now issued a statement on their website, which reads: 'The club wants to make it clear that Jose continues to have our full support.

In a video currently trending on social media, Chief Emami said his advice was based purely on practical and economic reasons that could have affected the timely and cost-effective completion of the project. He noted that the logistical challenges and high cost of transporting construction materials and equipment to Ugborodo made it less suitable for such project given the amount available.
