Akwuegbu: Enyeama is very important to the Eagles
Ex international Benedict Akwuegbu has thumbed up the Nigeria Football Federation for the role played in quelling the misunderstanding between the Super Eagles’ skipper Vincent Enyeama and Sunday Oliseh from causing any disaffection in the team’s camp adding that Eagles’ skipper is an important member of the squad.

Goal reported that Enyeama was initially kicked out from the team’s camp before the NFF waded into the misunderstanding and normalcy returned.
According to him, the role played by the NFF in settling the impasse showed that the Amaju Pinnick led board have what it takes to unite the football fraternity.
He also added that the NFF should not stop at this alone but should do something to end discord between Enyeama and Oliseh so that it doesn’t recur in the near future.
“I am impressed with the NFF and the way they put an end to the division in camp between Enyeama and Oliseh. They should not stop at that. They should ensure that both of them are properly reconciled so that this doesn’t recur again in the future,” Akwuegbu said.
“Enyeama is an important member of the senior national team and something should be done to ensure that he is not forced into early retirement now. He still has a lot to teach the new goalkeepers.”
