Alampasu, Madu, Ndidi get Nigeria call-up for DR Congo & Cameroon friendlies

Alampasu gets Eagles invite
Coach Sunday Oliseh has invited Club Desportivo’s Dele Alampasu, AS Trencin's Kingsley Madu and KRC Genk's Wilfred Ndidi to the Super Eagles ahead of Nigeria’s international friendlies against DR Congo and Cameroon.


The decision was taken on Wednesday morning by the Eagles’ head coach when it was confirmed that the six home based professionals would not be taking part in the games having been denied visas by the Belgian embassy in Nigeria.

With less than 24 hours to the game, the trio were called up to join the foreign based professionals in camp ahead of the encounters billed to hold on Thursday and Sunday.
In a related development, the six homed based pros (Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Femi Thomas, Prince Aggreh, Paul Onobi, Austin Oboroakpo and  Chima Akas) have been instructed to join the team picked for CHAN qualifiers against Burkina Faso in Port Harcourt.
Nigeria face DR Congo in Vise, Liege on Thursday before facing Cameroon three days later in Brussels' Edmond Machtens Stadium.
