Southampton accepts Liverpool £12.5m bid for right-back Clyne

Liverpool have had a £12.5million bid accepted for Southampton defender Nathaniel Clyne.

The England international right-back will discuss terms on a five-year contract and is likely to have a medical next week once he returns from holiday in America.
The deal reflects Liverpool's persistence in negotiations after Southampton initially said the player was not for sale. However, Clyne, who was in the final year of his contract, indicated he would like his club to listen to Liverpool's offer and they set a price of £15million.
