Sterling could be a top striker - Henry

Thierry Henry believes Raheem Sterling has everything it takes to become a superstar at Liverpool - provided he improves his finishing.

Sterling's shift to a more central attacking role has coincided with a revival in fortunes for Brendan Rodgers' men since last month's 3-0 defeat to Manchester United, with the 20-year-old scoring crucial goals against Bournemouth, Burnley and Chelsea to contribute to a 10-game unbeaten run prior to Tuesday's League Cup exit at Stamford Bridge.

And Henry, who began his career on the wing before being converted into a prolific striker by Arsene Wenger for Arsenal, believes Sterling has all the attributes to make a similar transition.

"One vs one it's very difficult to defend against him," the Frenchman told Sky Sports

"The only thing I can say that he doesn't have yet is finishing. He struggles with it sometimes but that will come with time. He has everything you need. He's good one vs one and he has pace. His movements are sharp.
