Reus should join Real Madrid, says Heynckes

Jupp Heynckes believes Marco Reus would be better off joining Real Madrid rather than Bayern Munichwhen he decides to leave Borussia Dortmund.

The 25-year-old, who has been linked with both clubs among others, will be available for €25m at the end of the season as a result of a clause in his contract.

With Dortmund sitting in the Bundesliga relegation zone during the winter break, a move away looks increasingly likely but former Bayern boss Heynckes says Reus should head for Spain and not stay in Germany.

"I would recommend going to Madrid," Heynckes said on Sky 90. "Bayern have four or five world class players up front.

"Where would Reus play? If he really has that [release] clause of €25m, all the big European teams should go for him."
