Keane seals fifth MLS Cup for LA Galaxy

Robbie Keane scored a dramatic extra-time winner as the LA Galaxy won their fifth MLS Cup with a 2-1 triumph over the New England Revolution at StubHub Center.

Landon Donovan's storied career ended with a sixth MLS Cup title, and Keane added an MLS Cup MVP to his league MVP he picked up earlier in the week.

The Galaxy took the lead in the opening stages of the second half through Gyasi Zardes, but New England struck back and equalised through Chris Tierney with just 10 minutes to play.

But Keane stepped up in extra time, finishing a one-on-one chance to give his team a title – and condemn New England to its fifth MLS Cup loss in as many appearances.
