Real Sociedad set to appoint Moyes
Former Everton and Manchester United manager David Moyes is expected to be unveiled as the new coach of Real Sociedad later on Monday.
Moyes is Real's top target and it is understood he has agreed in principle to join the San Sebastian-based side, who parted company with Jagoba Arrasate earlier this month.
Real had hoped Moyes would watch the team in action at Anoeta against Atletico Madrid on Sunday, but the 51-year-old asked the club for more time to finalise preparations with his family ahead of a move to Spain and missed their impressive 2-1 win over the current Spanish champions.
He has agreed a €2 million per year deal which will run until June 2017 and make him the highest-paid coach in the club's history.
Real have also reached an agreement with former Betis and West Bromwich Albion boss Pepe Mel, who will take over in the event of a late U-turn from Moyes.
