Chelsea 2-1 QPR: Hazard penalty sways fierce London derby

Eden Hazard rescued Chelsea as the winger converted from the penalty spot to maintain the Blues' fine start to the Premier League season.

Despite a slow start, Jose Mourinho's side took a deserved lead after half an hour as fine Cesc Fabregas found Oscar on the right-hand side of the area, and the Brazil midfielder curled in with the outside of his foot.

The hosts seemed comfortable despite not really testing Rob Green, and they were made to pay for not making their dominance count as Charlie Austin flicked Leroy Fer's shot past Thibaut Courtois.

Sandro went close to giving the visitors a shock lead, but Hazard eventually found a way through the Rs defence, drew a foul from Eduardo Vargas and tucked away the resulting spot-kick.
