Keshi Undecided Over Super Eagles Return
Returning Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has thanked President Goodluck Jonathan ahead of his imminent return as the Super Eagles coach, but tells SL10.ng that he's yet to be officially informed.
Joseobi understands that consequent to the meeting held on Wednesday with President Jonathan by the Giwa and Pinnick factions, it was agreed that Keshi be returned to continue with the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
And Keshi has spoken of his gratitude to President Goodluck Jonathan ahead of his return to the helm of the Super Eagles technical bench.
"I have to thank President Jonathan, if it's true, I thank him. You guys (the media) are the ones telling me this now," he said.
The 'Big Boss' also says he's still thinking about whether to come back or not but admitted it will be difficult to turn down the Nigeria President.
"Let me think about that, I don't know yet. The President of the country is the father of the nation so it's difficult to turn him down but I don't know.
"I don’t know whether to say yes or no now, but I still have to think about it," Keshi said.
The 52-year old also added that the team needs peace to concentrate on the next games.
"We all want peace in this country and we all want peace for the team and that is very crucial for the players. They need to have a settled mind to play for Nigeria without the usual quarreling and fighting but let me think.
"I think I should have the opportunity to think for myself and then decide if yes or no," he added.
