Arsenal left with just five defenders after Debuchy blow
Arsenal have been left with just five defenders to cover four positions after Mathieu Debuchy badly sprained his ankle against Manchester City.
The French defender went down after an aerial challenge, with his ankle appearing to buckle underneath him.

He was stretchered off and taken to hospital after being given oxygen in the tunnel, and while there are no broken bones, the early reports say he has suffered a nasty sprain.
The news is not great for Arsenal who were already short on defenders after failing to land a replacement for Thomas Vermaelen during the transfer window.
Arsene Wenger will now have just five senior players to cover his back four, and with two of them being left-backs, it’s definitely not helpful.
