Ibrahimovic: Blanc has proven himself at PSG

Paris Saint-Germain attacker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is delighted that coach Laurent Blanc has extended his contract with the capital club.

The Frenchman put pen to paper on a new deal - which will keep him at the Parc des Princes until June 2016 - less than 24 hours after PSG were crowned Ligue 1 champions courtesy of Monaco's draw at home to Guingamp on Wednesday evening.

Ibrahimovic feels that the former France international, who has also masterminded a Coupe de la Ligue triumph in his debut season at the helm, fully merited his one-year extension.

"He's done very good work this year. He deserves to stay," the Sweden international is quoted as saying by Ligue 1's official site.
