Despite Uefa sanctions over FFP, PSG will continue to make massive investments in the transfer market and will target top players, as demonstrated by the purchase of David Luiz.

As a record signing for a defender, the deal for Luiz is a clear message to Uefa but, as a consequence, PSG will now need to sell to meet the requirements of their player limit of 21 in the Champions League, as well as the imposed salary cap.

In this context, Ezequiel Lavezzi, along with Javier Pastore, is one of the players most likely to leave. The Argentine has never tried to hide his interest in a return to Italy but an attractive bid from a Premier League club may also be a temptation.

Lavezzi's style would be perfect for the Premier League and Jose Mourinho has been a big admirer for a long time now.
The Londoners made an enquiry for Argentine attacking midfielder Lavezzi ahead of their Champions League quarter-final clash with the French champions.

Further discussions about Lavezzi were conducted between the two clubs during the negotiations over the transfer of David Luiz, who clinched a £40 million move to PSG last week.

Doubts, meanwhile, have now emerged about the Stamford Bridge future of Oscar, who is expected to play in the No.10 role for hosts Brazil at this summer's World Cup.
