Dani Alves: I want to face Messi in the World Cup final

Brazil wing-back Dani Alves is dreaming of facing Barcelona team-mate Lionel Messi and Argentina in this summer's World Cup final.

The Selecao host the tournament this summer and are looking to claim their sixth title and the former Sevilla man is hoping they can face their arch-rivals and his club colleague.

"The dream for me is a Brazil - Argentina final," he told reporters.

"I've talked to Messi and it would not only be a dream for us but for them too. But my dream is not just to reach the final, but to win it too."

Alves is delighted to have linked up with his Brazil team-mates in Luiz Felipe Scolari's squad and is getting to work on winning the title.
