EXCLUSIVE: Thibaut Courtois close to extending Chelsea contract until 2018

Contract: Courtois is close to extending his deal at Stamford Bridge by two years

Chelsea believe they have made a breakthrough in their attempt to extend Thibaut Courtois' contract. 
The Belgian's existing deal expires in 2016, but the Blues want the goalkeeper to sign fresh terms with the club.
And joseobi understands both parties are close to agreeing a two-year extension, which would take Courtois deal to the end of the 2017/18 season.

The news will come as a major relief to the Stamford Bridge club, who have made it a top priority to extend the 21-year-old's contract.
The new deal will include a significant pay increase on his current £30,000-per-week wages.
