Nigeria defeated Mexico 3-0 to secure top spot in Group D of the Fifa U17 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.

Goals from Uchenna Kanu, Rasheedat Ajibade and Aminat Yakubu were all the Flamingoes needed to ease past the Mexicans in the one-sided encounter.


Nigeria will play Spain in the quarter final on Friday.
