Juan Mata is set to undergo a medical at Manchester United after Chelsea accepted a £37million offer for the Spanish play-maker.
United moved in for Mata this week after Jose Mourinho told the player he does not have a future at Stamford Bridge.
And despite the Blues initially being hesitant about selling to a potential rival, Mata is understood to have pushed for the switch to happen.
David Moyes has agreed to double the attacker’s current £70,000-a-week salary to £140,000 plus bonuses, and Mata’s father Juan senior is in England to complete the transfer.

In a video currently trending on social media, Chief Emami said his advice was based purely on practical and economic reasons that could have affected the timely and cost-effective completion of the project. He noted that the logistical challenges and high cost of transporting construction materials and equipment to Ugborodo made it less suitable for such project given the amount available.
