Protection: Fellaini played for a spell with a cast on his left wrist

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has had a wrist operation which is expected to keep him out of action for up to two months.
The Belgium star underwent the procedure to repair tendon damage at a hospital in the North West over the weekend.
Fellaini – a £27.5m signing from Everton in the summer – suffered the injury to his wrist weeks ago but has been playing in a protective cast in a bid to help United through a time when they have suffered other midfield injuries.
Down and out: Marouane Fellaini has endured a difficult start to his Manchester United career and will be missing for up to two months after having wrist surgery
