Galatasaray abort mission to land Terry

End of an era? John Terry has entered the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge
Galatasaray are set to abandon their efforts to sign John Terry in the belief the centre-half does not want to leave Chelsea.
Terry, out of contract at the end of the season, had been named as a priority target by Galatasaray boss Roberto Mancini, who is eager to bolster his defence in January.
The former Manchester City manager was understood to be constructing a deal for the 32-year-old worth £3.2million a year after tax, for two years, with the option of a third.
