Bargain buy: Gareth Bale cost Real Madrid £86million but the club president claims that was cheap

 Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has claimed Manchester United made a bid for Gareth Bale.

The 24-year-old moved to Real from Tottenham earlier this month for £86million after negotiations that lasted the entire summer transfer window.
Bale scored on his debut against Villarreal and is set to return to the side against Atletico Madrid on Saturday after missing last weekend's clash with Getafe with a thigh strain.

In a video currently trending on social media, Chief Emami said his advice was based purely on practical and economic reasons that could have affected the timely and cost-effective completion of the project.
