Liverpool boss hails his players

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers believes that his side's extra-time victory over Notts County on Tuesday is evidence of their progress under his stewardship.



The Reds were cruising at half-time in their Capital One Cup encounter at Anfield but saw their two-goal lead wiped out in the second period by the dogged visitors.

However,  goals from Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson saw out a 4-2 victory for the the hosts in extra time.
