The 21-year-old has featured in just one Serie A match all season as injuries have blighted his campaign but sources in Italy claim O'Neill is ready to gamble on him.

Tottenham   goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini will join LA Galaxy on a free transfer in January, both clubs have confirmed. The 39-year-old Italian arrived at White Hart Lane in January 2009, but made just 37 appearances in all competitions over three years for Spurs.

Demba Ba's agents expect talks with Chelsea to resume his week after a hitch in his move to Stamford Bridge. The Newcastle striker, who has already hit 13 goals this season, is wanted by the Blues but talks broke down yesterday over wages. Chelsea have offered Ba £70,000-a-week but his representatives see the amount as not much more than the money he is currently on at St James’ Park.

Ba s move to chalsea in the balance

Newcastle striker, Demba Ba’s move to Chelsea has reportedly fallen apart. According to  sources, “Demba Ba’s representatives do not expect him to join Chelsea after unproductive meeting & will now begin talks with other clubs.” It now appears the Senegalese will move to Arsenal, with Arsene Wenger admitting he was impressed by the player in their 7-3 victory over the weekend. Ba’s release clause is £7.5 million and he is reported to be demanding £80,000 per week.
